Smart Docs
Smart Docs is the capture lane. You do the thing once in your browser, and InteractiveDox turns that single session into a step-by-step guide, a voiced video, or both.
It is the answer to the oldest problem in documentation: the person who knows the workflow is the person with the least time to write it down. Smart Docs shrinks “write the guide” into “do the thing while recording.”
Everything in this section is one of three stages. Most confusion about Smart Docs is really a question about which stage you are standing in.
| AI turns the session into a titled, sectioned guide with prose and narration per step |
| A publishable guide page |
| 3️⃣ Produce | Optionally build video from the guide | One or many reels |
The SmartDoc session is the source of truth. Everything downstream is generated from it, which is what makes re-recording cheap: record once more and every artefact built from it can be rebuilt.
Being straight about this is more useful than a feature list.
💡 The test: if you would naturally teach it by sharing your screen, Smart Docs will do well. If you would naturally teach it on a whiteboard, it will not.
The quality of everything downstream is set at record time, so a few habits pay for themselves repeatedly.
⚠️ One guarantee worth carrying into Studio: a screen is always a real capture. The video engines never draw a product UI. If a step was never recorded, there is no screen for it — never an invented one.
